banking act 1959 sec 69...Unclaimed money

briefly, after 3 years an inactive bank account (some are exempt) is transferred to govt for safe keeping until you reclaim it. it can be reclaimed ...(just don't forget about it)
other than the effect of inflation, fees, divorce or an unforseen Cyprus style default/event your money should be fine.
