condolence: sympathy with a person who has experienced pain, grief or misfortune
thank you for your comment, Archpoet
I understand your intention but, it is misguided, necessary & inappropriate
I was giving condolences to my mother because she was a person who had experienced pain, grief or misfortune
As for myself, condolences are not necessary because my aunties passing did not create any sense of pain, grief or misfortune in me
if you diligently practise the right path, there will be freedom from sorrow, lamentation, pain, grief & despair
but the wrong path does not even mention freedom from sorrow, lamentation, pain, grief & despair
