Agreed, my best mate who gets paid exactly the same as me asks how I can save so much, then I point out he has a $18,000 car loan because he wanted the newest commodore ute while I drive a cheap yet reliable car (which tears me apart, because I love all things automotive, despite them being a sucking money pit).
All I'm saying is that a lot of young people are also good savers, and people like myself are already saving for their first house. That being said, I know of no-one my age who isn't intimidated and hesitant at the thought of buying a $400,000 house, let alone a $1m property!
