malmanu take the comment for what it is - a parent that has seen the potential and 1. wants to see the drug become a reality for her own family and 2. For the thousands of families that will follow. When you hold out hope that one day these diseases can be be improved, managed and hopefully one day cured you don't want to see it fail due to not enough testing at the trial. This is not begging but a call for support for something that may become life changing. To link a parents call for fellow families to come forward to support the trial on facebook to a director getting options is just plain silly in my point of view. I believe if these families get even a 25% improvement (and I seriously hope more) in quality of life for their children they will be happy to see the directors, option holders, shareholders, employees, etc well rewarded because they would have also been well rewarded.

Buy more stock, hold what you have or sell the lot (I'm happy to take them off you) as you see fit!

Your last two sentences do make sense and I also hope that options are allocated in line with the level of achievement.
I would however expect that those inside Neuren that qualify for options are just as keen to see this through to production just as much as those that don't qualify - this is their mission, motivation and the reason they get out of bed in the morning. It's not to walk into work and ponder how many free options they have received today!
