The panic and hysteria that led to the construction of now-rusting desal plants around the country and plans in S-E Qld by Anna Bligh to fill our dams with treated sewage is a direct result of green zealots getting the ear of governments and a failure to plan.
Now we have Coalition governments federally and in most states, what needs to be done now is what should have been done a decade and a half ago - build more dams [and damn the naysayers] and build more power stations [again ignore the zealots] to provide for current and future demand.
The green lobby must never again be allowed to threaten our future with their zealotry.
