When people talk like this, I just know that they have nothing to say beyond a simple spray...reminds me of primary school taunts, not an adult conversation.

How could the "free world" defeat a fascist Germany twice, when it wasn't fascist during the first world war?

As I pointed out, our ally Stalin was a butcher before we teamed up with him, remember the Ukraine? Six to 10 mil dead in 1933.He was hardly a member of the "Free World" yet did the most to beat the Germans.

No provocation? Being strangled by oil, iron and rubber embargoes not provocative? Freezing japanese money in the US not provocative? The idea was to get them to attack the US, how else could the US obtain the public indignation to get into the war against Germany. FDR promised to America's mothers during his election campaign that he wouldn't "send their boys off to war". Of course he was a politician and therefore a liar, that was the game all along.

If you haven't heard anyone say that Japan was goaded or manipulated into war then you may need to expand your reading list.

As for its invasion of SE Asia, why then was it OK for Britain to control HK, Malaya,Singapore, Burma,Sri Lanka, and India? For France to control Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia? The Dutch to control Indonesia or the Americans to control the Philippines?

The Japanese were more brutal in their occupation of the countries they invaded but essentially were no different to the European powers and the US who did the same.

Diligent, please try putting up some facts to refute what I am saying rather than namecalling and stupid innuendo.
