Conveyors do not sort anything. They move material from one place to another, such as coarse material to one place and fine material to another. Crushers turn large material into smaller material. Screens separate coarse material from fine material.
You need a processing plant to process a concentrate product and send the waste to the tailings
If you put high grade ore through the crusher to produce DSO (Direct Shipping Ore) it will still contain waste material.
The more DSO produced and sold prior to the processing plant being up and running ultimately effects future economics.
High grade ore is generally blended with lower grade ore to produce a consistent end product concentrate and for consistency of the processing plant operations.
Fiddle with the blend and you need to fiddle with the process!
Metallurgists dont appreciate having to continually fiddle with the process
