opinions on qld csg mining

The develop and despoil mob are fond of citing the Queensland experience as supporting their development/ industrialisation brand of ecocide. Apparently the good pholk of Queensland are 100% supportive iof destroying the GBR, damaging the GAB and alienating and industrialising productive farmland!

Intuitively I'd have thought this was not the case and this research seems to suggest I'm correct! (Not sure about their methodology, but doubtless someone here will point out whatever flaws may exist in it ...)

Key findings:

• More then half of Queenslanders want to stop all future CSG exploration while an investigation is conducted.

• Support for and against CSG is broadly the same across the major parties.

• Over three-quarters of Queenslanders thing that mining should be banned from prime farming land.
