Plus, no mention is ever made of Methane, it is over 20 times more potent as a green house gas than CO2. No mention is made of methane hydrate, the stuff that floated to the surface in the ocean of Pakistan after the recent earthquake. To form a mass that can be described as an island - my guess, 100,000s of tonnes of it. That was reported as methane hydrate but no worries, it will disappear. Yep it will, it will melt in that form to water and methane. The methane goes into the atmosphere and CO2 gets the blame when temperatures fluctuate. There are enormous amounts of methane hydrate in a semi frozen state in the oceans. But they can't tax rotting plant material, or marsh gas, or cow farts, so methane is ignored.
