Something is not quite right - it does appear that there is a move to control the share price. BUT to what effect.
Arguably it is good for the recap process as the lender gets more money in the business. On the other hand there is a "dilution" from the lender's perspective. This should not matter though as the share price will reflect the dilution.
I cannot see why the lender would rejoice at a failure to raise funds under the SPP. IMO this will only make sense if they can pick up the remainder and therefore have a bigger share of the co.
