Fyfe was BRILLIANT, but he'd kicked 12.1 from set shots for the year and his 3 attempts netted him 1 point in that first half. SURELY you'd have to think that the nerves got to him a little??? I'd LOVE him at Collingwood, but he let his team down when it mattered most, in front of goal, on the biggest stage, in the GF. But what a brilliant game from a kid! And the less said about little Hayden the better, that was an EMBARRASSING effort he will have to live with the rest of his life if they don't win a Premiership in his time. And the fumbling of many and missed goals from VERY simple shots was just awful to watch.
If Cloke had've kicked the same as Fyfe did in a GF would you be saying the occasion didn't get to him? No chance, and he kicks at about 55% not the 90% Fyfe had been kicking at prior to the GF. But that's rose coloured glasses for you. They usually belong to those with less than an ideal intellect.
I was actually hoping you'd beat Hawthorn, and if they had've taken their chances in the first half and had a similar run in the 3rd quarter when their midfield got on top of Hawthorn's, then they could've been 3 or 4 goals up and then the real heat would've been on the Hawks.
Sometimes it's hard to say well done to the team that beat yours but guess what, the Hawks and all of their supporters couldn't give a rats bum what you think, they're the ones holding the Cup and they're the ones who will have a delightful Summer. Good luck to them they were CLEARLY the best team of the year, I was just hoping they weren't.
