Understand your misgivings and would agree that a boom benefits very few. Guess we who have been bulls for a while are just plain tired of the years and years of so called 40% drop talk , burn baby burn rhetoric , endless stupid comparisons to other collapsing economies , selective comparisons I might add , plus the endless ill understood investing concepts that are peculiar to this asset class - to the point where we just react and when concessions are made that there are problems with some areas it is perceived as a weakness on our part and that we have hit the panic button which could not be further from the truth.
A lot of pressure is on young families I agree. If the pregnancy scenario hits it is a worry and I must confess it is one of the reasons I have personally accepted Abbott's policy as it will ameliorate some of the difficulties.
