I mean is there another IO resource on the African continent that is the subject of a international tender. (Or in the past)

Apart from problem plagued simandou (with a whopper 20B + capex) that vale and Rio are dragging their feet over, there is no other large DSO high grade body let alone one with so far defined 800MT with 35MTA capacity.

I am confident that the Hanlong deal failure is the best thing that happened to holders in retrospect. But then again I never looked at it as a deal failing but rather China backed down after the Africans decided China free kick was not to be.

If China loses Sundance, she loses the whole region.
