Replacing a guy that has barely any iron ore experience with a guy that has managed arguably the best run iron ore mines in the world. He's worked for a company that has a fantastic record of achieving expansions before schedule and under cost. This guy knows how to allocate capital and get results. He is in a different league to the gbg / kml team. It'll be interesting to see how much power he's allowed with regard to the operation of KML. Hopefully he gets to call the shots and we can see a turn around in the performance of KML.

I think a big test will be seeing how he words the issues regarding gbg in his first progress announcement. Hopefully he can provide more insight into the causes and solutions with regard to production issues, perhaps even insights into where he sees potential improvements.
