oil majors wake up to sa shale gas, page-19

something i posted a few months ago is worth a reread

..the coy who drilled the well in the middle of what is now cels lease that flowed gas ..unassisted... was the then South African Govt oil and gas arm SOEKOR...they would have all the juice on this well

SOEKOR was one of three entities merged in 2002 to form the current SA Govt oil and gas arm Petro SA

We've heard how Petro SA own the colossal state of the art gas to liquids plant just south of Cels lease at Mossell Bay that is running out of gas

Petro SA still have not got a piece of the SA shale seen that i can find

...and now i notice the head of the commitee set up to set the framework for the commencement of shale gas exploration on SA is.....the CEO of Petro SA...

since then Sasol has entered the scene stating that they are keen to enter the SA shale scene and are actively looking for partners


i'd be happy with either :):)
