Energy will be the stockmarkets undoing because cheap energy is required to enable the project of globalisation to function. A big part of the US's problem is the percentage of the current account deficit generated by importing foreign oil! And now they have to start importing natural gas (LNG)? Sorry 2005/06 is a turning point in the global economy. And there has never been a global situation like it in the past!
