I think you got ripped off, you can buy bitcoins for 115 aud. These things remind me of the stockmarket games that used to be around on the internet years ago. The trouble was they could set their own price for them whenever they liked because there is no laws governing it. You will never be allowed to use them or cash them in in any western country. You describe not being able to touch them by the governments as a good thing, it isn't and the U.S. will not allow them to be transferred into cash. Im pretty sure that if you know where you can cash them in then the U.S. and Australian governments know as well.

Its a scam and it is run by online scammers that can change the price at will with just the push of a couple of buttons.
