Signed a contract to sell our house this afternoon. Two weeks on the market, multiple offers, easy being a real estate agent right now, buyers on the Gold Coast are thick as thieves at the moment after years of dragging along the bottom. Hard to say where the money is coming from, employment not great still here but improving on the back of tourism.
Don't think I will buy back in just now, happy to sit on the sidelines and wait to see where it goes. I wish all those holding long term well but I think the bulls and bears agree the days of property doubling every 7 to 10 years is no longer sustainable.
A crash would be nice, for me, but I highly doubt it will happen and wouldnt wish that on any battler out there trying to do the right thing building a family etc.
Its not a house, its a home. Think we need to go back to those days again.
