Lapdog the teachers of yester-year actually taught. They were well versed in teaching mathematics / english / history and geography.

Now-days its the lowest scoring high-school students that choose teaching as a career as the bar set by universities for their intellectual abilities is extremely low
Thats why Australia has dumb kids...Because we have dumb students that become dumb teaches and teach a dumbed down curriculum so as to "make everyone feel special" and not "hurt anyones feelings"

Im young (26) and am so happy that my mum taught me the mathematics / english and history that my real teachers did not.
Its why I did well at uni and have a good paying job working in the wealth management industry for one of the big 4 banks.
