So if we pay a tax, bushfires will be reduced?
wrong question.
the tax is on emissions and they are being reduced. it is successful in its aims.
it has also been proven to be no drain on the economy.
if you wish to legislate for construction and low carbon products, then the govt has to specify who gets the nod. it would be far better for it to be a market based mechanism and leave the govt out of it. pricing carbon puts it into the market.
