ResMed’s Inc (ASX:RMD) profit rose nine per cent in its first quarter, buoyed by revenue growth and widening margins.
However, that result missed analysts’ expectations.
For the quarter ended September 30, ResMed posted a profit of $80.9 million, up from $71.3 million, in the previous corresponding period.
Revenue rose 5 per cent to $357.7 million.
ResMed develops products for the treatment of respiratory disorders, including flow generators and humidifiers.
ResMed delivered a net profit of $331 million in fiscal 2013.
