ariante, my comments weren't really a response to your post mate. I'm just one of those lazy buggers who read entire threads and then click reply to the last one in the tread. Sorry.

    WangChung,

You say "I really don't give a toss as to what constitutes NEN's 'style' or not."

Your comment is a little ironic because my point is that they don't "give a toss" (to use your poetic description) what you as a little shareholder want, oops sorry I meant "part owner". When you buy shares in a public company, unless you are a cornerstone investor then you pretty much get what you buy into and you accept that warts and all. Hardly any public company will change to suit you.

They said upfront before the drilling started that they won't be providing blow by blow updates to the market yet you chose to hold the stock anyway through this period. Despite being advised upfront what the reporting will be you seem to think it reasonable to demand change and declare it disrespectful to shareholders that they dare do what they said they would do. Odd.

As far as I am aware you don't have a copy of the JV agreement which no doubt dictates what can be announced to market. As a 25% partner and non-operator I'm pretty sure Neon can't just go out and make up its own rules, bypass the agreed channels and ignore the JV agreement just to keep you happy, yet you call this situation disrespectful.

It seems to me that its easy to whing, and demand to know everything about a public company but actually delivering such as an officer of a public company whilst meeting legal, regulatory and commercial agreements is another thing altogether. It is of course nice to not have to "give a toss" about such binding legalities though isn't it?
