Hi sydney6791 Both Japan and Germany declared they would shut down their nuclear plants in the aftermath of Fucishima. As u probably know Japan has had a change of government since then and changed their stance to a safety upgrade with possible restarts. Germany declared they would close theirs down and go the renewable route although at the time it was widely regarded as a political decision. As the government has managed to hold power since then it's believed their policy is unchanged. 2022 is still some time off and a possible change of government may have a change of policy as I understand they are importing lots of electricity from France which is beIng produced by u guessed it nuclear power. Aside from that the proposed and planned new plants are higher since the tsunami disaster then before even taking into consideration the German shutdowns if and when they proceed. Hope that helps. Dyor Tommy
