Two points to remember:
1) GEM was called ELY. The change occurred in early 2010
after ELY merged with a company called Payce Child Care.
ELY started in the pre ABC collapse days. ELY did pay
far more than 4 times EBIT - they all did in those days.
The multiple became 4 times only after ELY became GEM.
2) One third of EBIT is generated in the first half of the
year. Two thirds is generated in the second half.
Both 1 and 2 need to be taken into account to get an accurate
figure.
