reading between the lines

I spoke to the CEO last night and asked how things are going (he must be getting sick of me), but he always takes my call.

He was more evasive than normal, but certainly up beat. IMO, one has to think that one of their products is about to be released, especially if you review the recent press releases.

I tried to trick him by asking, will there be sales this year and his response was "I'm very positive about what's happened over the last 6 months, the rest of this year and certainly 2014" (not word for word, so please don't consider I am quoting 100% correctly)

I'm on the edge of my seat and certainly excited.
