joe a,
Clive Palmer took the opposite viewpoint in his own electorate in QLD in which he won by only 7 votes in the original first count. He was adamant that a second recount was needed.
But now he takes a different viewpoint because he knows he may in fact lose the PUP Senate seat that was allocated to his Party back to the incumbent Greens because of AEC incompetence in the original counting which the Greens have sighted.
There needs to be a thorough investigation, which is underway and no winner announced.
Back to the polls for another vote is the only fair way to ensure a clear winner is elected.
The AEC should hang their heads in shame, very dodgy behaviour indeed.
