BHP is a disgusting company if this is the way they do business. {standing over a smaller partner just because they can}
Business is done by mutual agreement. Not ultimatum. BHPP needs to negotiate a settlement with OEL if it wants to walk away and only then if OEL will accept the settlement which is satisfactory to them. {I'm thinking at least 100m}
Otto ahs cash and cash flow to get them past this and if necessary, find a new major driller. ENI comes to mind. They are expanding into this area.
Once the panic sellers have gone the share price will recover so hang in there guys. In the longer run it will all work out for the better.
And companys which do business withour morals will fail.
