There are a million and one reasons why Kinrade might have decided to leave.
First, she was recruited by Esra, and once Esra got the boot, Kinrade might have felt uncomfortable and exposed.
She might have come to feel that the job wasn't a good fit for her.
She might not have gotten along with Harry.
Who knows? I agree that the optics might not be the best, but in the larger scheme of things this is insignificant. Inconsequential, really.
I wish her well in her future endeavors and look forward to the announcement of a new CEO, hopefully this month.
