Reputation damage is done and I hope one case be it ASIC , police ( years away) or company makes it to court so holders can see what really went on in black and white on public record. Depending on assets of the people involved it opens it up to a shareholder action as well depending on what has gone on either against insurers, company or parties involved. For all we know everyone may be innocent but for reasons not known to us like protecting themselves from other claims and protecting other assets are ending the process.
Brushing stuff out of sight just means at the time you least expect it comes back to bite you later . A new quality CEO may want a full cleansing of all the skeletons before taking on the (suassageee- just for the 1 line spelling sniper police ) "roll" or definite ability to sort any remaining issues.
If POH does a big deal , the company maker it wouldn't surprise me to see a case lodged.
