I was looking at IPL and ORI a while ago (just after low $2.49 for IPL) for a long term hold but took up neither. I noted at the time the consensus was to buy ORI. Aust. has a natural advantage in both farm and mining. However mining has investment and returns, but the returns from farming have been elusive. ORI/IPL selling the essentials to both sectors must be a good basis for a business.
