    no it's not.

    i have free will, i also am free to drive my car at or under the speed limit.

    if i choose to drive over the speed limit, i get punishment. if i choose to drive under, i don't. my free will

    i say

    you ever planted a seed in a pot and just added water? it will happily grow without the detritus of other life.

    water is not alive and i don't see the detritus to the sun that the plant causes by photosynthesis, but that's just me.
