re: Ann: Company Interview - Strong Operation... Its the same sort of story in the S regime. If you believe that there are heaps of V prospects left for drilling,or redrilling, then you need to know that the is an abundance of S prospects also.
The partners did most of their S drilling between 2000 and 2006 in Wichian Buri. The drill rig went backwards and forwards ,achieving reasonable success (and a lot of reliability) over a big area. Results were reliable, slightly variable and generally a bit pedestrian .As far as I know water injection tactics were not employed in WB.Now we have a new ball game. There are heaps of S targets ,old and recent, that would stand a visit,or revisit,by "the" rig.I know this to be true as CVN has told us this many times over, over several years .
Its nice, and no surprise to me,to see Adrian describe the S and V regimes in Thailand that CVNers have a stake in as "highly profitable oil fields".
The way forward should be highly profitable also,IF the partners can master both the S and V assets it owns by getting the cost v. results relationship to strongly and consistently favour the latter.
If you want a simple bell weather guide to the Thai assets really coming back on the CVN dial look for some changes to the rig structure. If they can keep the V (drilling technique) results and S (water injection) results heading in the right direction with costs well under control and few hiccups then the commentator mentioned above would be advised to review his understanding of what CVN owns that is valuable.
I wont mind if he doesnt feel an inclination to do so eventually if Phoenix blows us all out of the water as to what is CVNs biggest and best asset.
