abbott's mess deepens

Tony Abbott may be able to muzzle Parliament and most of our media but he can't muzzle sharemarket data and overseas media.

Abbott utterly disgraced himself yet again today, forcing a high level Indonesian delegation to eat crow while he slagged off at Labor in Parliament. In one foul day he again trashed Parliment and insulted the Indonesians.

But there's more; much more!

That post election rise in business confidence has evaporated and our sharemarket is headed for the sewer- that despite all of the lollies thrown to the idle rich. Abbott's mind-numbingly dumb response was to plead to heavily indebted mainstream Australians to spend like drunken sailors this Xmas.

Not only are Abbott and Scott Morrison witholding information from the public about asylum seeker boats, they're also witholding it from Parliament and knee-capping how Parliament works.

This is great news for those who want to get rid of our colonial era constituion and its infantile, antagonistic, demeaning conventions that are so easily abused. Our system of government is being exposed as crap by a born to rule monarchist pre-occupied with self.

But it's dreadful news for those who care about the human lives Abbott is playing with on the high seas. The Indonesians are even saying that an asylum seeker boat was forced back into Indonesian waters by our navy, explaining why Indonesia rejected it.

Now we have another boat sinking south of Java while Abbott plays his sel-serving, infantile games with Parliament and the media. Another 50 lives are at risk on Abbott's watch but all he cares about is his political hide.

Clearly, this is the worst start by any goverment in our history.
