..but who is going to upgrade the copper to get faster speeds on broadband. Normally the company does it out of cash reserves, or raises money from shareholders. Telstra would have no hope of getting more money from the mums and dads, do not have enough reserves, so will have to go to the 'sophisticated investors' who may be the ISP's. The industry will grind to a halt until something is done. Meanwhile Telstra goes to the other technology, 3g mobiles for more cash flow. Where does that leave IIN? The wireless/cable broadband industry may overtake as technology improves.
