I recently bought a good quality vegetarian lasagne (marked $13, serves 2) for $8. $4 a meal seems OK to me (use by date a couple of days away). Also, not expensive to make one's own, using ricotta as white sauce substitute and vegetables of all sorts, cheese on top and with tomatoes generously throughout and in the dish. Use herbs as well. How is that expensive???????????????
