ProjectUlu, you ignore the fact that all stocks are different, no two stocks are the same and yet there are reoccurring patterns such as the true engulfing pattern in LYC. If backtesting (or scanning) one stock shows that a certain candle had a low rate of success then I wouldn't use it. I'm new to backtesting software, but I'm not new to candlestick analysis, my strategies are simple, I use MACD and candles with a bit of VSA, small entry with a tight stop-loss and although I have not made a fortune on LYC I am still in a select group that can say they are ahead.
