Except of course PYC's collaboration with AstraZeneca in 2010 and the potential $100M deal they walked away from last year or early this year ?

The company did explain that the work for AZ (Medimmune) progressed to a milestone in late 2011 but hasn’t been taken further because AZ intended it as a backup to an existing program which has not yet failed in development. Perhaps AZ’s MED 14893, targeting Staphylococcus aureus, which is currently in Phase I? The way I see it, if the star of the show doesn’t break a leg, (other than sabotage) what can the understudy do about it?

I hear your skepticism loud and clear and I understand where that’s coming from. I just thought it worthwhile to explore a less discussed area where the company says it is hopeful of deals and see if I could find any basis for that hope. I think there is.

Further to this topic and perhaps of interest, in today’s SMH

This man was in the post-antibiotic era, and this is why so many agencies over the world are raising alarm bells..
