    "Weather permitting, CSR will make excellent profits from its sugar operations in fiscal 2005-06. The Australian conglomerate stands to benefit from high global sugar prices, and from a drop in exports from other nations. Earlier, CSR had predicted that it would earn $A280 per tonne for raw sugar, but it now forecasts a price close to $A300 per tonne. Brazil, a major export rival, is using more of its sugar crop to produce ethanol, while the World Trade Organization has capped European Union sugar exports. CSR now only needs good weather without excessive rainfall to continue, so that it can achieve a satisfactory harvest.
