yids, the silence is deafening because the article is simply claptrap and breathtaking in its own hypocrisy. Sure, there are problems in the UN and yes, sadly, it seems to be that nations act first and foremost in self interest but this article points to all sorts of interests other than US interests. No mention of US oil interests, of US contribution to Iraq's present state (read old alliance) of US dollar hegemony.

We have here a simple situation where the worlds' majority is expressing its opinion through the UN, and the US, like a spoiled child doesn't like the umpire's decision.

Sorry simple sunni, it obviously bothers you that most Australians are in agreement with The Rest of the World but luckily we still live in a democracy. Hopefully John Howard will soon find that out!
