Had a serious chuckle today when I read "dog stock of the year thread"... just couple days earlier it had been AVB turning bullish title...
So - AVB Turning Bullish
then - AVB Turning Bearish
and now... - AVB Dog stock of the year..
all in a few days...
I nearly fell off my chair....with laughter.
What has changed fundamentally for the company in this few days ...NOTHING
We are still...
1. Cashed up to production on phase 1 (albeit a little infill drill needed)
2. Have plenty of cash to take us to Definitive Feas on Phase 2
3. Have enough cash to Scope out Phase 3
4. Two major Mining finance institutions will to back AVB (Major Brazilian bank and Blackrock) not mentioning Xstrata here.
5. Have a high grade deposit based in the top quartile of CU explorers worldwide
6. Have a Cu price predicted to be stable... in slight surplus supply next year with most forecasts saying price to stay around 3.14c/lb for 2104 Our all in Cash costs for Phase 1 are around 1.15/lb from memory
7. Have a vast area of as yet untouched highly prospective ground in the Carajas regions (elephant country)
8. Will generate $50-70m a year in profits from Stage 1
9. Will likely not need to cap raise again
10. have near on 1 Mt Cu Jorc equivalent Cu resource
11. In a mining friendly jurisdiction Brazil
I challenge you "prophets of doom (and the absurd)" to find a stock in a better position that this at this low a market cap right now... There won't be any replies as there is none...
So if this is the Dog stock of the year the god help the ASX...
The AVB thread is like a stand up comedy show lately ... Perhaps we could reserve a spot in the Melbourne Festival for next year.
All is IMHO DYOR to confirm.
