There has been a lot more research and drilling done in their area and they have more resources that if they failed it would not have meant their demise.
I'm not sure you could say the same for NWE, if a wildcat horizontal fracc had failed.
Also consider, they are not the major shareholder for EP413.
They have two other partners and their approval and input need to be taken into account when this was being planned.
To assert that NWE could have demanded that they do a wildcat horizontal well with no technical data is just rubbish in the extreme.
