On another subject, I've been searching the internet for any signs of these investigations that are/were taking place. I finally found a snipit from the Canadian investigation...
"The results of the Canadian government's probe were not made public. Foreign Affairs spokesman Andrew Hannan said the government "has reminded Anvil Mining that it expects Canadian firms operating abroad to uphold local laws and observe internationally recognized standards and principles of behaviour."
He added that the UN has confirmed Anvil is collaborating with its investigation into Kilwa, and that the company has also started "to establish working protocols" with the Congolese government to prevent a similar occurrence."

I suspect all the other investigations are just going to quietly go away as well with little or no announcements.
