It's as simple as this - other parts of the markets are running well on little more than massive leverage and speculation. The money is chasing these parts of the market, even though the profitability of these markets just doesn't stack up. ie. look at Twitter (just one example) - valued at billions but still losing millions every year. I'm expecting a big crash in the first quarter of next year. The beaten down resource stocks will get hit along with everything else. Companies will go under or be bought for cents on the dollar. (CCU could be one of those) During the aftermath there will be rescue packages trotted out and like the last cycle, PMs will benefit until people get cocky enough to risk their money in other sector again.
Keeping my powder dry for this eventuality.
