diligent, the thread is about Gonski, the Coalition knew exactly the situation and the financial arrangements in the budget, and tried to lie about it and got caught out on the lie.
I said before the election that Abbott was making too many spending promises while cutting revenues, it never was realistically achievable.
By over promising, the Coalition have put themselves in a situation where they cannot fit their promises into the budget available.
I believe Abbott's desire to be PM caused polices and promises to be made that under normal circumstances, the Coalition would never had made.
P.S. sypaladin, I agree Gillard wouldn't of won if she had of told the electorate she planned to bring in a Carbon Tax. Which is the same reason Abbott has taken on policies and made promises that wouldn't normally have been made.
