the line - fed royal jelly - made me laugh out loud, that was very funny mostly because it's true. I'm going to use that. I feel all the true religions had their moment to be ridgy-didge and it has clearly past for most of them.
Mr Gordon posted this - Matthew 21:43 . There has always only ever been one God, one faith.Ephesians 4:5,6
This explains better than I have been trying to that all the religions are just facets of the same belief system, different stages, different cultures. Like belonging to the same school and progressing through the grades. Some people just repeat more than others.
I know trees that we are off course now but I think that religion is the place of greatest need when it comes to critical thinking. Talk about suspension of disbelief. The more implausible the belief the greater the faith required until all objectivity is lost. Science and religion no longer in harmony. We have grace, I'm sorry about the rest of you. 41,000 Christian religions and even though ours came 2000 years too late it's the right one. Suicide bombers killing innocents for the love of Allah. Priests ruining the lives of thousands and thousands of people because they imagine celibacy is a sacred state and eventually can't control themselves. How have we not done away with the Catholic church?
The whole thing is cloud-cuckoo land and it's never challenged to prove itself. Has any of you read the writings of Scientology, or followed the trail of the Mormon belief from conception to this day. Jim Jones, Branch Davidian, Orange people, Hillsong, Benny Hinn and all those American TV multi-millionaire evangelists etc etc. You get more wisdom from the local drunk.
I have absolutely no idea how we are ever going to learn to think critically in large enough numbers to move the masses out of fairy-land. It will take something really big to shake us up. Enough, I'm out of this thread for good now. I apologise for getting off track.
