Hesk: I spoke to RH recently and he insisted that unlike the previous collaborations that are presently "backups" to current internal pharma programs, the PYC/Janssen research and any new pharma deals around CPPs using the Endosomal Escape Trap tech are the main game(not backup technology).
With the Janssen work, RH appears to be very pleased with the lab results to date. I noticed, this sentiment is also conveyed in the HeraldSun article. Though, RH admits there are still hurdles to jump.
What they are doing at present is attaching PYCs cell-penetrating peptides to actual Janssen drugs to confirm functional delivery(see page15 of latest Presentation to Shareholders).
In other words, in linking Phylogica's peptides and Janssen's drug molecules they are creating new antibody drug molecules that are presently being tested to verify the ability to target a particular cell, penetrate the cell wall, escape the endosome and release the active drug molecule within the cell.
