I did wonder why Bishop didn't say to Burke "which particular phrase are you referring to" thereby forcing HIM to say it.
Bishop made a mistake by assuming they would not be so petulant as to take umbrage at her quickly identifying the phrase for him and asking the minister to withdraw.
I did think it was a mistake..there are thousands of examples of their petulance, why did she think this would be any different...?
And so it went downhill from there, with Labor leading the way..calling Assistant Ministers junior ministers..and whatever .
The facts, as they are emerging, of the early childhood "funding" so quickly snaffled by the very well informed insiders..calling Ellis a puppet of the unions..I would say she got let off pretty lightly. She found it amusing ...and couldn't find it within herself to defend her actions...
Which is why the events which followed, followed.
Very diverting..great sport..C minus minus politics..but it still seems to float Labor's boat amazingly enough
