trash commercial tv

So I was having withdrawals after we won the Ashes Woohoo, and used the back button on my remote which took me to Ch 9 just after 7pm. I rarely watch FTA commercial tv.

A Current Affair had just started. Here they are in a poor suburb putting supposed Christmas presents on the top of unit block mailboxes with tinsel etc. They were addressed to a made up name and either had no actual address or a non existant unit number.

They started with a dvd player and then went to....wait for it....cartons of VB. Then they accosted those that took them with their camera crew.

Isn't that supposed to be a current affairs show?

Is this what people watch?
