Rembrandt, agree with you. I also think that (from my view) that it is about the US's ability to prosecute the war quickly and to manage the peace. Their track record is not good - Korea, Vietnam, the Taliban, Saddam himself, their decisions and understanding of other nations has not been perceptive. Maybe it is because they can't see beyond their own self interest or self importance. Probably this is why most people would support a UN led war in Iraq but not an American one. And before anyone starts saying that this is just antiAmericanism, let me point out that it has nothing to do with the American people just the current American administration.
