Not really, maybe "older people" have simply worked out that many of the changes have resulted in little if any improvement to their tech. needs.

I can remember dial up internet.
I can remember trying to navigate sailing up and down Qld coast without a GPS.
I will admit I don't use the new tech improvements to their potential, but enough to make a big improvement in my life.
